香港紅十字會輸血服務中心（中心）發言人今日（十月十九日）表示，中心需要更多A正型和O正型的血液，呼籲熱心市民踴躍前來捐血。
中心表示，自中秋及國慶假期後，血液收集量未回復到每天目標1,100人捐血，血液存量已下降至低存量的水平。
由於重陽節假期將至及預期捐血人數會減少，中心呼籲未曾捐血或已到期捐血的市民，在未來數天伸出援手盡快捐血，為在醫院需要輸血治療的病人，提供充足及穩定血液供應。

The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) spokesman today (October 19) appealed to those who are of the type A positive and O positive blood groups to give blood.
The BTS noted that donation since the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays had not reached the daily attendance target of 1,100. As a result, the blood inventory has dropped to a low level.
As the Chung Yeung Festival is approaching with anticipated lower blood donation, the BTS urges those who have never donated or are eligible to return to come forward for blood donation in the next few days to ensure an adequate and stable supply for patients who need blood for their clinical treatment.
